Summary of the Three Seas Initiative Research Center project

In September 2022, we launched the Three Seas Initiative Research Center project carried out at the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences (ISP PAN) by a team of researchers led by prof. Agnieszka Orzelska-Stączek. The project received funding from the “Science for Society” program of the Minister of Education and Science / Minister of Science and Higher Education, which allowed us to implement ambitious plans. On February 9, 2025, we are officially closing this stage of our activity.

During the two years of the project, we managed to complete many tasks including organizing several foreign study visits and international conferences, seminars, and scientific panels. Our events were included in the official agendas of the Three Seas Initiative Summits and Business Forums in Bucharest in 2023 and Vilnius in 2024. The project also resulted in the preparation of numerous expert analyses, scientific articles, and a monograph on the Three Seas Initiative. This website is also an essential element and a comprehensive source of knowledge about the Initiative.

We are entering a new stage. Some of the project’s effects remain permanent; for example, our website will continue to operate, as will the Documentation Archive of the Three Seas Initiative; a monograph is available, which is a valuable source of knowledge about regional cooperation, and numerous publications are the result of the project.

Prof. Agnieszka Orzelska-Stączek continues her research work at the ISP PAN on cooperation in Central Europe, particularly emphasizing the Three Seas Initiative.

The Three Seas Initiative Research Center project carried out at the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences was a success thanks to the involvement of many Polish and foreign researchers and experts, representatives of the world of diplomacy, business, and journalists. We invite you to use the results of the project. Thank you for your interest, support, valuable experience, and openness to cooperation.

Thank you!
