Polish diplomacy operates in accordance with the principles outlined in Polish foreign policy. The Minister of Foreign Affairs oversees the annual development of this policy, which serves as the basis for the minister’s presentation to the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. This presentation, known as an exposé, typically occurs at the start of the calendar year and outlines the tasks of Polish foreign policy for the upcoming year.
This year, on April 26, Minister Radosław Sikorski presented his exposé, which included a strategy for the coming months. The minister emphasized:
Regional cooperation, in the form of both the Bucharest Nine (B9) and the Three Seas Initiative, is crucial. The Three Seas Initiative will only be successful if it facilitates the development of transport, energy, and digital infrastructure of the region stretching from Estonia to Greece.
